Trendy Trees in new colours

Hello again. I have been busy crafting and preparing for next week’s double bill of classes ‘Christmas Cards’ and ‘Gifts’. As usually we will be making 4 projects in each class. I shall post what we have made next week Saturday. In the meantime I have plenty of other projects to keep you busy.

Let’s start with one of my favourite stamp sets ‘Trendy Trees’. I just love it as it is so versatile to use. You can use the tree tops to create backgrounds and borders or stamp them as a bunch of flowers. And of course you can stamp trees. The project I want to share with you uses some of the new colours which Stampin’UP! is introducing when the new catalogue comes out on 1st October – melon mambo, rich razzleberry and soft suede. The good news is you can already buy those three colours. 🙂

Here they are:

This is what I used, all from Stampin’UP!

base card: Love Notes in Very Vanilla

stamp set: Trendy Trees

ink: Whisper White

card stock: Rich Razzleberry, Soft Suede, Melon Mambo

ribbon: Polka Dot Ribbon Grosgrain in Rich Razzleberry, Soft Suede and Melon Mambo

punch: Word Window

Another stamp set I really like is ‘Fresh Cuts’.

First of all it goes very well with the Fresh-Cut Notes as you can see. These are two cards I made from one Fresh-Cut Note.

Here is what I used from Stampin’UP!

Fresh-Cut Note, Petal Flower Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, Fresh Cuts Stamp Set, Green Galore and Gable Green Card Stock, Green Galore Ink, Clear Rhinestone Brads.

From my own stash I added one square white base card & envelope and sheer white ribbon.

The ‘thinking of you’ theme of the stamp set lends itself to a multitude of uses from Birthday to Get Well to Sympathy Cards. Here is one I made when Ellis, a neighbour of mine, suddenly passed away. I used whisper white and basic black card stock and basic black ink from Stampin’UP!, the sentiment peel off came from my own stash.

Look out for more ideas with this stamp set in my next post.

I would like to end today’s post with a card I made in memory of Sheila, who passed away last week. I think she would have liked the Fairy Magic and glittery sparkle of this card.

Sorry, this time I won’t share with you what I used just that some is from Stampin’UP!, some came as freebie and some is from my own stash.

Let the Magic live!!

Happy Crafting. 🙂

Hello World

Finally after months of getting my head round blogging I think I’ve cracked it. At least I hope so. Luckily this doesn’t happen to me when I am crafting.

The project I want to share with you today is one I made to decorate my treatment room/office. I made three of these ‘Scrapbook Frames’. For each one I’ve chosen three pictures of places I like and find uplifting. I also wanted to keep the colours neutral. Apart from the frame all the products I used are from Stampin’Up.

  • Card stock: Very Vanilla, Soft Suede
  • Inks: Soft Suede, Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa
  • Stamp sets: Fox & Friends, Pocket Silhouettes
  • Scallop Circle Punch
  • Circle Punch

I love looking at these pictures and I regularly find myself looking at them to re-energize myself. It works …. just try it yourselves.

Good Luck and Happy Crafting  🙂
