Comtempo Christmas

Hello Again. May favourite Christmas Stamp Set this year has got to be the ‘Contempo Christmas’ Set. I especially love embossing the bauble stamp. It reminds me of those glossy baubles on our Christmas Tree when I was younger … quite a lot younger than I am now… as time goes by …

I have two projects from my last crafting class, where we did some embossing.

The first one I think is simply elegant

the Contempo Christmas tree, gold embossed on cherry cobbler card, finished off with very vanilla 1/8 inch taffeta ribbon from Stampin’UP! of course and a peel off from my stash.

I love the cherry cobbler red which is one of the new colours. It is a dark, rich, velvety red. It reminds me of Christmas Markets in Berlin, Gluehwein and gingerbread. I suppose what I am saying is that it is a good coulour to use for your Christmas Cards and it matches well with old olive and very vanilla card stock from Stampin’UP!. It makes for traditional Christmas cards with a modern twist.

For the next card I used another one of my favourite colours rich razzleberry. Here I used all 4 stamps from the Contempo Christmas set, rich razzleberry cardstock and the lovely printed paper from the Designer Series Paper Patterns Stack, again in rich razzlberry.

I love the Designer Series Paper Patterns Stack. Such a good idea from Stampin’UP!, lovely patterned papers in all the colours of the card stock and as always double sided. 40 sheets of 12×12″ good quality paper for only £15.50. I shall certainly get more of those. Oh, before I forget, it the Contempo Christmas Set is available in wood mounted or clear stamp sets for only £12.95 (clear) and £15.95 (wood mounted).

I did something very interesting with this card:

Hot TIP!     For extra sparkle add some dazzeling diamond glitter to your embossing powder.

You may not see it that well in the pictures, but it really makes it sparkle.

The last project is one from my upcoming stamp class, Friday 5th November 3pm.

A Christmas Tree Box.

This is one of the gift boxes and tags we will make in this workshop. I love it. It also doubles up as Christmas decoration.

Well if you want to learn how to make this box, why not organise your own crafting class at home?

I am happy to come along and teach you.

Until next time

Monika
