Birthday Flowers

Hi Everyone!!!
Hope you had a good weekend and enjoyed the weather. It’s been glorious again here in Hoylake.

Well what can I say, I am finally catching up posting my projects. This one here is for Dianne, we were talking about it the other day, when it wasn’t finished.

Stippled Blossoms Birtday

For this card I tried something new – stamping on pearlised card. I stumbled across it almost by accident, when I tried out some new stamps on little scraps (will post the projects tomorrow). I always thought that given the pearlised coating any ink stamping apart from Staz-on would smudge, but it didn’t. You end up with a subtle shimmer, you would normally achieve using a shimmer spray.

I used Centura Pearl Card in white from Crafter’s Companion for the stamping. Given that it is a 300gsm card, you can expect it to be a bit more difficult to cut, but it is well worth it. All other materials are available from Stampin’UP! (Stippled Blossoms stamp set, inks (blushing bride, regal rose, old olive, always artichoke and perfect plum), perfect plum and Sahara sand card stock, sizzix Labels Collection framelits dies, Festive paper-piercing pack plus the sentiment which is from the Elementary Elegance set of last year’s sale-a-bration).

Enjoy … back tomorrow with more projects …

Happy Crafting!!! 🙂
