Sorry, I haven’t been posting for a few days, which doesn’t mean that I haven’t been crafting. I simply didn’t get round to logging on and downloading the pictures.
Luckily our holiday had to be postponed by a day or so. Looking out of the window, seeing all that snow, one wouldn’t think that it is due to rain. Well, what can I say, the field is too wet for the caravan to go on … and there is me getting worried about snow on the A55 LOL
Hope we can get out there tomorrow otherwise Nick won’t get his Winter Caravaning in, something he’s been waiting for ever since the day we bought our ‘Dethleff’s’. 🙂 Lucky for me this delay gives me some time to pack some crafty bits to take … every cloud has a silver lining, even the rain clouds over the Llyn Peninsula.
Talking about silver linings … the card I would like to share with you fits into that theme too:
You may remember this cute little bear from my ‘Cute CAS’ post a few weeks ago. I had been playing round with watercolour pencils at the time, but decided against using the water coloured image for that post. It came in very handy, when I realised that I needed to make a quick birthday card for my sister’s husband, who incidentally likes fishing.
I simply blended and distressed the edges with Garden Green Ink (Stampin’Up!), stamped Happy Birthday (Wild Rose Studio) on, mounted it on card and pretty paper (Bouffle from Docrafts/Papermania), added the fishing sentiment (came as part of the stamp, Mulberry Wood, Crafter’s Companion) and finished off with two fishy skeletons from my stash … and hey presto in the post it went to Germany … hopefully it arrived in time for today.
Back later with another card to share … that’s when I finished packing!
Happy Crafting!!! 🙂
