Happy Christmas Everyone!!!!

Hi Everybody,

Thanks so much for your lovely comments.

How time flies, it’s Wednesday again and time for another challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More … the last one for this year …  Challenge #76 – Anything Goes!!! The perfect Christmas present for you!

The full details of the challenges and their rules can be found here.

Our sponsor this week is Deedee’s Digis.

The winner will receive 3 digi sets of their choice.

Here is my DT piece for this week:

Season to be jolly

Again I made good use of the Meowy Christmas Set by Deedee’s Digis, you may remember it from my DT piece for challenge #73. In the set you get:

one coloured image

one layering image, which I used in my card

two papers, one of which I used in this week’s card, and

4 sentiments, one of which I used for my card, … lots of scope there!

For this card I wanted to go with the gingerbread look and used Kraft card stock to achieve it. I cut a piece of the paper from the set to size, layered it on red card and attached it to my base card. I cut a piece of Kraft card, put it trough my embossing folder and swiped it with my white Craft ink pad to achieve the highlights. I cut another piece of red card and layered as seen in my card before adding the faux stitching. I printed off the cat and the sentiment on white card, coloured them in, added faux stitching and attached them as shown in the picture. I punched two snowflakes attached them and finished off by adding some glitter glue.

… and because I enjoyed it so much, I made another one …

paws itively perfect christmas

The focus here is on the tag I made using one of the sentiments from the set, the catty angel is a stamp I’ve had for a while.

… two fun card for cat lovers to enjoy …

Hope you like it!

White and Silver Snowflakes

Hi Everybody,

back with my second post of the day.

Since I’m not much use for doing anything else today -got a very bad cold- I might as well share a bit of inspiration 🙂 plus Mynnette left a lovely comment the other day suggesting joining in the blog hop at House of Cards …. what better way to spend the day!!!

Also the Snowflake Challenge is still on at Addicted to CAS … I could play along with both … here are my projects inspired by the Addicted to CAS snowflakes and the photo from a House of Cards:

… first the card I want to enter in both …

Card recipe: Crystal and Lindeman snowflake dies – Memory Box, sentiment – Greetings of the Season stamp set from Stampin’Up!, silver embossing powder, silver gel pen, gem, white base card and ruler

For the box I used, in addition to the Memory Box dies, white card and gem, a texturz embossing plate (Sizzix) some silver paper and ribbon, glitter glue

More Fairy Christmas

Hi Everybody,

Thanks for all your lovely comments, they’re very much appreciated.

Today I have another CAS card for you, this time it’s one in bright pink … for some reason ‘pink’ is my Christmas In-Colour this year. 😀

It is another card inspired by the silvery Fairy Christmas Tree from my recent post here. It cam out of me wanting to use the pink ribbon I ended up not using for my original card. I bought this narrow organza ribbon with the intention of using it in a similar way to twine. It is a great alternative as you can see for yourselves:

Pink Fairy Christmas

It is a very quick card to make, a bit of matting and layering, but not too much, embossed border, ribbon, some rounded edges and you’re ready!

The stamp I used is from Lavinia Stamps and the embossing folder came with a magazine, either Simply Cards & Papercraft or Papercraft Essentials, not sure which one it was.

Happy Crafting!!! 🙂

Mistletoe Kisses

…. and ATSM Challenge #75

Hi Everybody,

Thanks for all your lovely comments. How time flies, I am just about catching up with making Christmas Cards for myself, normally I got them all done by now!!!

It’s Wednesday again and time for another challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More, Challenge #75 – Photo Inspiration!!!

Our sponsor this week is Sami Stamps.

Sami Stamps

The winner will receive a $12 gift voucher to her store.

… and the picture to take your inspiration from is …

… very Christmassy! As you can see, there is lots of scope here. For my DT piece this week I went for Christmas and the surprises one can find under the tree … here it is:

Mistletoe Kisses

For once I was lucky enough with my timing and I was able to take the picture outside!!!! The colours are much better. Well this card was inspired by some of my friends, Dianne, who recently got a chocolate coloured Labrador puppy called Rosie, Keren, who’s docrafts demo I went to see last Saturday at Sycamore Garden Centre in Great Sutton, and Nonni, who loves using Sami Stamp images and who’s colouring skills I absolutely adore.

The lovely lady with lab is a stamp from our sponsor Sami Stamps called Mistletoe Kisses, they also have a new range of fabulous Christmas images available at their shop. I basically printed and coloured the image before fuzzy cutting both elements. I also wanted to add some sparkle/light without using glitter, hence the embossed stars, which are from an embossing folder -by docrafts- Keren used in her demo on Saturday. The sentiment is from a set by Deedees Digis which I will be using next week for our last challenge of the year. Please make sure you pop by this week and next week!

Hope that you feel inspired to enter this week’s ‘Photo Inspiration’ challenge at ATSM, please pop over and see all the other creations of the fabulous ATSM DT Team.

Please join the fun … look forward to seeing your creations … and
Happy Crafting!!!

Cutting Die Storage

Hello Again …

… for my third post today …

Something useful I made using my papercrafting skills …

… a storage for my smaller cutting dies!

Die storage I

Die storage II

Die storage III

I basically used up some odds and ends again. It was a sort of a trial run as I am hoping to make a larger and more embellished one soon for my border dies, larger cutting dies and die sets. Once done I shall let you know and post a full tutorial on my TinkerCards Blog.

I want to enter this one into the Allsorts Week 236 Challenge – Anything but Christmas

Hope you enjoyed popping by …

Happy Crafting!!! 🙂

Fairy Christmas Tree

Hello Again …

… for my second post today …

I have been using up odds and ends in an attempt to make some quick cards … and I got somewhat side tracked. 🙂

Let’s start with card where I used the odds and ends:

Fairy Christams Tree I

I recently tried out my flitter glue starter kit with this Lavinia Stamp.  Normally I would only use it with rubber stamps, but I decided to give it a go anyway. I promise I washed the glue off straight away as I didn’t want to damage my stamp. I wanted to see how it would turn out on white, but I wish I had tried it on darker card instead, never mind. I started making this card by lamplight -not daylight- and the colours seemed to match quite well only for it to have to go into the rescue pile. Above is the rescued version, initially I had used some pink ribbon and no faux stitching. To blend the colours better I used a green fine liner pen and added the faux stitching and changed the ribbon from pink to dark green. To finish I added a few touches of glitter glue.

Anyway, this card inspired me to make the card from my previous post – CAS Snowflake- plus the following two cards too:

Faiiry Christmas Tree II

I want to enter the above card into the following challenges

Lavinia Stamps Blog Challenge – Anything Goes (Hi Eileen, please let me know if you want me to email you any of these for the gallery.)

Stamplorations – Stamps & Silhouettes (Hi Shery & Nonni. I made this just as inspiration. Looking forward to get designing for you!)

52 (Christmas) Card Throwdown – Any Past 2013 Challenge Anything Goes (mine is January 2013 – metallic silver, purple & white)

Fairy Christmas Tree III

Hope you feel somewhat inspired.

Happy Crafting!!! 🙂

CAS Snowflakes

Hi Everybody,

thanks for your lovely comments.

I have been busy making more Christmas Cards after I discovered that I didn’t have enough to send.

This one here is a super quick make:

CAS snowflake

The Darice embossing folder (Crafter’s Companion) I used for this card has so much detail, that I always try to make a feature of it. For this card, I simply used it to emboss the front, rounded some edges and attached a strip of pink card to the back leaving a narrow border. I tied my ribbon Stampin’Up!) to cross at the front and attached a snowflake charm and gems to finish.

This is what the card looks like lying flat:

CAS snowflake 2

I would like to enter my card into the Addicted to CAS challenge with the theme – Snowflakes.

Hope you like it. Back soon with more.

Happy Crafting!!! 🙂

Peace Angel

A Joyful Christmas

Hello Everybody,

thanks so much for your lovely comments.

It’s December already and I haven’t made all my Christmas cards yet … guess I’ve been too busy blogging or not … I just simply don’t know where the time has gone.

Well I made some progress nevertheless … 5 quick and easy cards using the A Joyful Christmas CS set by Nicecrane Designs … lovely pastel colours … here they are:

a joyful christmas I

a joyful christmas II

a joyful christmas III

a joyful christmas IV

a joyful christmas V

The images have so much detail and depth, you can even see the polished wooden floor. I love their up to date pastel colours and light & airy feel.

I tried to keep the overall design easy to make and used simple matt and layer techniques with paper, card and die-cut shapes plus some ribbon, pearls and glitter. These are really quick cards to make, great if you’re running late with your schedule.

Hope you like them.

Back soon …

Happy Crafting!!! 🙂
