ATSM Challenge 84

Hi Everybody,

Thanks so much for your lovely comments. They were all very much appreciated.

It is Wednesday again and time for another challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More …  Challenge #84 – CAS!!!

Another great challenge for you, one you’re surely like! Please take the time to check out the full details of the challenges and their rules, which can be found here.

Kathryne from StampArt Design is back again this week as our sponsor.

The winner will receive 5 digis from her store.

We are also welcoming again Cathy R from  Cathy’s Card Spot as our guest designer for the week.

This week I’ve done something different. After the cute outdoorsy LITTLE BEAR CANOE ADVENTURE and LIZZIE on the beach I went for for a more grunge-retro look, at least that’s my name for it. Here it is …

Wherever you go

I thought this could be quite a good encouragement card for some one leaving a job or moving away for example.

This week I worked with a sentiment from StampArt Designs. Again it is one from the FOR FUN AND ADVENTURE SENTIMENT sheet. I cut it out with using a tag shaped die and used it as a starting point and allowed the rest of the card develop around it. I stuck 2 pieces of Washi tape to a piece of white card, stamped the circles in Sahara Sand, placed my tag into position without adhering, maked the sentiment off and stamped the chevrons in Island Indigo. I then removed my tag and stamped some more chevrons in Sahara Sand and the dotty stripes in black. I then stamped some splattery spots in Island Indigo, added a die-cut heart and adhered my tag into position before finishing off by adding some black gems and silvery metal embellies. I rounded two corners and adhered my topper first to a piece of Island Indigo and then to my white tent-fold base card.

Hope you like it!

Hope that you feel inspired to enter this week’s ‘CAS’ challenge at ATSM, please pop over and see all the other creations of the fabulous ATSM DT Team.
Please join the fun … look forward to seeing your creations … and

Happy Days

Hello Everybody,

Thanks for popping by and leaving such lovely comments on my recent posts, especially for the Patchwork Cottage. It was an experiment and I’m so glad it worked!

I’m back with another super speedy card for you … more trampolining hedgehogs

trampolining hedgehogs II

I stamped the hedgehogs (Little Claire) in black memento ink – TIP! it is best to use an older ink pad for this otherwise the black is too strong – and coloured them using some shimmery chalks.I then stamped my sentiment in elegant eggplant (both Stampin’Up!), rounded a couple of corners, added a few clear gems and sparkly highlights (glitter gel pen for a subtle look) to finish.

I am entering my card into the ‘jump’ challenge over at CASology.

Have a great Sunday everybody … back soon …

until then …

Happy Crafting!!! 🙂

Patchwork Cottage

Hello Everybody,

just a quick post from me today.

I challenged myself to push beyond some stamping boundaries I had, admittedly they were only perceived ones, but here is what I came up with:

Patchwork Cottage

You can see how I stamped the cottage here on my TinkerCards tutorial blog, where you also find a list of tools and materials used.

Thanks for stopping by …

Have a lovely weekend and

Happy Crafting!!! 🙂

The cottage is stamped using Graphic Pentagons and Graphic Squares stamp sets from STAMPlorations Patchwork Frenzy Range.

Trying Coffee

Hello Everybody,

thanks for popping by and such lovely comments.

Today I tried something new …

Shaving Foam Printing …

well I still got quite a way to go to perfect this technique, but I came up with this lovely cheerful panel for my card …

Coffee Printing

Apart from using the shaving foam technique, I stamped the chevron pattern in a light orange and my sentiment and star in brown. I then layered my panel on brown card, added two brads, layered again … this time slightly off-set onto a piece of recycled coffee cup wrapping. To finish I added it all to my white, tent fold base card.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Addicted to CAS – coffee

Technique Time Tuesday – shaving foam

Less is More – Men’s

If you too feel inspired to try something new, the shaving foam technique is beautifully explained on the Technique Time Tuesday’s blog.

Hope you like it, enjoy your day and …

Happy Crafting!!! 🙂

ATSM Challenge 83

Hi Everybody,

Thanks so much for your lovely comments. They were all very much appreciated.

It is Wednesday again and time for another challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More …  Challenge #83 – Holiday!!!

I really love working with Kathryne’s images, and you seem to like them too! My scrapbook look alike LITTLE BEAR CANOE ADVENTURE with it’s outdoorsy look was yet another hit with you. Hope that this week’s card will be another one ..

… and now, with no further ado, to my DT piece for the week:

Lizzie making memories

This week I worked with another image from StampArt Designs. This holidaying little lady is called LIZZIE and perfect for this week’s challenge theme. As you can see I was thinking Summer Holiday again, maybe due to the high winds and rain we’ve had for most of the Winter so far. I needed an antidote …  The sentiments I used are both by StampArt Designs’ from the FOR FUN AND ADVENTURE SENTIMENT sheet.

Again another easy card for you. To start with I sized and printed my image, coloured it using Promarkers and cut it into a squre shape. The film strip frame is hand drawn … gasp! … with the help of a ruler. Luckily I had a 1/4″ square punch. I only needed to cut the large squares into the frame used using my craft knife. I then die-cut and punched my flowers, cut my chosen sentiments and pretty paper to size and layered my elements as shown in the picture before finishing off by adding some gems and glitter glue.

Hope you like it!

Hope that you feel inspired to enter this week’s ‘Holiday’ challenge at ATSM, please pop over and see all the other creations of the fabulous ATSM DT Team.

I finally managed to watch the 2nd part of the tutorial, which I recorded last Saturday and thought I made a bit of a mess of, to find out it wasn’t that bad after all. Phew!!! Saves editing it. 😀 It is uploading as we speak or more like as I’m typing.

Thought I’d give you some pictures of the finished book:

Sketch 6 Challenge at STAMPlorations

and ‘Keep Calm and Craft On’ …

Hello Everybody,

It is time again for another Sketch Challenge at STAMPlorations. Thanks to everybody who entered our challenges, sketch and monthly, in January. We had some great entries. Hope you’ll be joining us again for the Sketch #6 Challenge. Here is the sketch to take your inspiration from:

I did something different for this sketch challenge … it is not a card … it’s the cover for my Stamp Storage Book, which I made for my lovely STAMPlorations stamps:

Stamp Storage Book

It is something I had in mind for a while, and finally this week I felt I had to give it a go. I won’t go into too much detail, as I’ve made a couple of YouTube videos, which can be found here. I still need to edit the second video before uploading it. I went over time and got my tongue in a twist a few times, but I stayed calm and crafted on … well the cough didn’t help either. I am hoping to be able to take the lengthy coughing spell out, should have taken some water with me, just in case … will do next time. Also Shery will showcase the videos later in the week, they will be ready by then.

In brief … for my cover I stamped on cream slightly rougher card for an antique look finish using the PATCHWORK FRENZY Graphic Pentagons and  the VIGNETTE Artful Flutters stamp sets by STAMPlorations. It is a one layer cover and I did some masking before stamping my pentagon shape in river rock, always artichoke, poppy parade and riding hood red. I did some blending to highlight my masked shapes before removing the masks and further blending in the label shape. I then stamped my sentiments in artichoke.

I have some more projects planned for tutorials using STAMPloration stamps, and my samples are already done, just need to do the recording …

Hope you like my little book and feel inspired to try making something different …

Shery has made a video tutorial for her card, a very artsy one. Please pop over to the Challenge Blog to see hers and all the other amazing projects that my DT Teamies have created … and of course … to join in the fun. The winner will receive 3 digital products from our sponsor All About Scrapping.

I am leaving you with a sneak preview of the new SUBWAY ART BUILDER stamps due for release in March …

Happy Stamping!!!

Here is what else I used: Zutter ‘Bind it All’, ‘Keep Calm’ stamp from Hobbycraft and inks mentioned above from Stampin’Up!, cream card, ribbons and binding rings from my stash
