Darnell from  djkardkreations joins us again as our guest designer …

… and here is my DT piece for this week:

envelope card 1

This week I tried my hand at making an envelope card, a sort of an inside out card. This is the inside and below is how it looks from the outside …

envelope card 2

envelope card 3

… and the inside again …
envelope card 4
I worked with the VIGNETTE Artful Flutters stamp set and the SUBWAY ART BUILDER MOM. I simply created an envelope and a pocket with a decoratively punched border for my card to sit in.
I stamped some butterflies using the Artful Flutters set on the outside of my envelope and on a piece of white card. I added my SUBWAY BUILDER word image to my white card and layered it on a slightly larger piece of green card. I added some faux stitching to the inside, attached some ribbon to my pocket and adhered the pocket as shown before adding some more faux stitching to the outside and a fuzzy cut butterfly and gems to the inside.
A video tutorial on how to make this card plus a full list of materials can be found here on my TinkerCards Blog.

Stamps and Spring Challenge at STAMPlorations

Hi Everybody,

it’s time again for another monthly challenge at STAMPlorations … it is March and the challenge theme is …

… and you have until the 31 st March to enter for your chance to win 2 stamp sets from the VIGNETTE, Patchwork Frenzy or SUBWAY ART BUILDER range, the winner will get to choose two sets of their choice. More details can be found on the STAMPlorations Blog here.

This is the piece I have created to get your creative juices flowing:

Ray of Sunshine

As you can see I went for a very Springy colour scheme – yellow with a touch of green. Well daffodils are my favourite Spring flowers and after having been to Llandudno, the daffodil-capital of Wales, to celebrate St David’s Day last weekend … what else was I supposed to do??? …apart from doing a Facebook test on ‘how Welsh I am’ – 95% it said LOL …let’s call Wales my Spiritual Home!

Needless to say, the colours in my card are inspired by daffodils …

I simply cut some bright yellow card as my base card and a piece of smaller white card as my topper. I then punched the pretty border using my Xcut punch and stamped my sentiment from the VIGNETTE Tree Silhouettes set by STAMPlorations. I then picked the stem and flower from the VIGNETTE Eclectic Florals set also from STAMPlorations and stamped my stems and leaves using the stem stamp in wild wasabi followed by the flower is daffodil delight (both inks by Stampin’Up!). I then attached my topper to my base and finished the card off by adding a lime green organza ribbon.

A video tutorial on how to make this card plus a list of all measurements and materials can be found here on my TinkerCards Blog.

Enjoy!

As always there is a twist … if you enter all 3 challenges in a month you’ll be in with a chance of winning  this prize package donated by All About Scrapping.

To enter and to check out all the lovely creations by my teamies simply pop over to the STAMPlorations Blog.

That’s it from me for today, back soon, until then …

Happy Crafting!!! 🙂

Yes, it is International Women’s Day on 8th March … apart from that you could also take inspiration from the colours or the bold graphic look or …

I have gone for a very feminine look this week. Here it is …

Nurturing soul

I simply sized, printed, coloured my digi image and stamped my sentiment before layering on pink and my white base card. I then stamped some flowers, fuzzy cut, shaped and attached them to my card before finishing off by adding some pearls and glitter glue.

Hope that you feel inspired to enter this week’s ‘Photo Inspiration’ challenge at ATSM, please pop over and see all the other creations of the fabulous ATSM DT Team.

Heart Full of Love

Hi Everybody,

thanks for all your lovely comments. They are very much appreciated.

Today I got 2 cards for you …

… the first one is catty … and I love it …

Heart Full of Love

I coloured my image using Promarkers mounted it on so saffron card, attached it to my green base card, stamped my sentiment in black, added some crystal effects to the sentiment and once dry finished by adding some green twine.

My image is from A Day For Daisies, the sentiment is from STAMPlorations (MOM Subway Art Builders sets), card is from Stampin’Up! and twine from The Ribbon Girl.

I want to enter this card into the following challenges:

Less is More – green and yellow

Allsorts – Spring – green and yellow for me are the Spring colours

CAS(e) this sketch –   I a sort of jigged it a little bit round.

And now to my next card …

Cute as a Button

For this card I simply layered some subtly patterned paper on pink card and added some faux stitching. I then stamped the pram on a small piece of pink card, added some sparkle using a gel pen before adding some crystal effects. I stamped three banners and the running sentiment before assembling as shown and adding a tiny button to finish.

All stamps are by Woodware and paper by Crafter’s Companion.

I want to enter this card into the following challenges:

House of Cards – cute/shabby and add a button – I went for cute and button

Addicted to CAS – baby

CAS(e) this Sketch –

That’s it from me for today, back tomorrow with my DT piece for the Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge and Friday with another green and yellow beauty (not the challenge theme) as my DT piece the STAMPlorations Challenge Blog, where the bi-weekly Sketch Challenge is already in full swing. Sketch 7 Challenge at STAMPlorations

Hello Everybody,

It is time again for another Sketch Challenge at STAMPlorations. Thanks to everybody who entered our challenges, sketch and monthly, in February. We had some great entries. Hope you all enjoy your prizes and that you’ll be joining us again for the Sketch #7 Challenge plus the monthly and sketch #8 in March too.

We’re also be welcoming Sandie from London Days as our new DT Member and Karen from Serendipity Dragonfly as our guest!!!

… and here is the sketch to take your inspiration from:

Again there is a lot of scope in this sketch as you can see from the fabulous creations of my teamies on the STAMPlorations Challenge Blog. I personally came up with the following interpretation …

MOM I

… I would also like to take the opportunity to introduce you to one of the new SUBWAY ART BUILDER Stamps simply called MOM and perfect for Mother’s Day. They are due to be released later on this month. You can either stamp them as a whole or use single lines. I like to regard them as sets in their own right as each stamp has several lines to use.

Shery has a fantastic pre-release offer on her new stamp sets. You’ll get 30% off if you buy all 5 of them. I know they are coming from the States, but her prices are very reasonable and she charges a flat shipping rate which is very reasonable again. More details can be found here  … I am so excited about these stamps, simply because they are so versatile …

For my card I coloured each line separately using markers, stamped and cut to size before attaching my word image to a piece of grey textured card. I then punched two borders from a piece of withe card and attached some cream paper twine before layering it on a slightly larger piece of grey card and then on my tent fold base card. I stamped some flowers from the VIGNETTE Eclectic Florals stamp set and fuzzy cut them. I attached my topper, added my flowers and some pearls to finish …

Hope you like my card and feel inspired …

Please pop over to the Challenge Blog to see the amazing projects that my DT Teamies have created … and of course … to join in the fun. The winner will receive 3 digital products from our sponsor All About Scrapping.

As always there is an extra prize up for grabs each month. If you enter all 3 challenges, two sketch plus one monthly, in March, you’ll be in with a chance of winning these fab Washi Tapes …

… more details can be found here.
