ATSM Challenge 126 and Saying Goodbye

Hi Everyone,

It is time again for another challenge at Addicted to Stamps & More, and it is your favourite – Anything Goes!!! It is the last challenge of the year 2014, but we will get to that later …

First of all I want to wish my Teamie Carol a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

I know Carol loves STAMPlorations stamps hence I have used some of those to make this card in her honour:

wpid-dsc_1033.jpg

and have a fantastic day!!!

I have used the daisy, got a feeling that this might be one of Carol’s fav’s, from Bloom Sketches and the sentiment from, you guessed it … Eat Drink Be Merry combined with a background stamp by Kaisercraft called Wood Panel, which I bought at my local craft shop at the Burleydam Garden Center. I first stamped the daisy, masked it before stamping the background. I then used some slightly opaque water colours, like the pastel effect, to colour my daisy and part of the background plus I added a hint of a stem. I then stamped the sentiment on a strip of card and layered as seen before finishing off with some gems.

My next card is to wish Marina all the best on her Wedding Day. Yes, she’ll be tying the knot in a few day’s time, I guess there is still time to pop over to her blog ….

wpid-dsc_1032.jpg

Marina makes these cute CAS cards … I went for CAS with a hint of lace from my punched border (punch by docrafts), a couple of scored lines and some gems and my card was done. The stamps I used came from another set by STAMPlorations called Ever After.

QKR STAMPEDE are back again as our sponsor this week and the winner gets to choose 3 digis from their store.

Please check out the fabulous projects my Teamies have made for your inspiration over at the ATSM blog.

Last but not least, it is time for me to say Goodbye as I am stepping down from the ATSM Design Team. I have had a wonderful 18 month working as part this fabulous team. Kylie, you are a star and your enthusiasm is so infectious. I am immensely thankful to you for giving me this chance all those months ago. It was my first experience of being part of a DT. Sending you big hugs and lots of love ….

I will still be around in blogland designing for STAMPlorations and entering challenges including ATSM and ATCAS of course plus all the other bits I shall be getting up to. Watch this space!

For now, I shall be back in a couple of day’s time with some last minute gifts, until then

Happy Crafting!!! šŸ™‚

ATSM Challenge 124

Hi Everybody,

Thanks so much for your lovely comments. They were all very much appreciated.

It is Wednesday again and time for another challenge atĀ Addicted to Stamps and MoreĀ …Ā Ā Challenge #124 – CAS!!! Please take the time to check out the full details of the challenges and their rules, which can be found here.

This week it’s Team A’s turn, and here are my pieces of inspiration for you:

wpid-dsc_1036.jpg

This first one is really easy to make plus I was able to use a couple of never used before tools one of which I’ve had for about 3 years! I simply die-cut a piece of white card in half using one of my new Lil-inkers Border Builder dies from Make The Day Special. I then punched the angel from one of the pieces, stamped my sentiment (Christmas Flower by STAMPlorations) in Pool Party (Stampin’UP!), attached the pieces of white to a piece of light turquoise card and then to my base card before finishing off by adding a dashed line and gem.

For my next two cards I put my artsy experimenting hat on …

wpid-dsc_1035.jpg

… I have often wondered why STAMPlorations Holiday Artsy set is called Holiday Artsy, graphic for which will be at the end of the post. Well I guess I figured it out now by creating a Christmas Tree using the brush stroke stamps from the set.

To start I inked up one of my acrylic blocks and stamped it on a piece of white card. This block of mine has a little ridge around one of the sides which gave a nice frame. I then placed the brushstroke on my block inking them up individually as I went along finishing off with the little circle at the top before stamping the tree inside my frame. I then added the half circle and sentiment before finishing off with some sequins and touches of glitter glue.

For my next card, I changed the colours (Strawberry Slush and Baked Brown Sugar by Stampin’Up!) and heat embossed my sentiment in copper. I also added a touch of glamour by spraying some of my favourite Gold Artiste Spritzing ink (docrafts) over my panel.

wpid-dsc_1037.jpg

That’s my inspiration for you today …

ATSM Challenge 120

Hi Everybody,

Thanks so much for your lovely comments. They were all very much appreciated.

It is Wednesday again and time for another challenge atĀ Addicted to Stamps and MoreĀ …Ā Ā Challenge #120 – Photo Inspiration!!! Please take the time to check out the full details of the challenges and their rules, which can be found here.

Kylie has chosen another great photo to take inspiration from, here it is:

There is lots of scope here, you could go with the bauble, stars or general Christmas theme or choose any of the colours in any combination. The photo looks really crisp and clean which would make CAS an option too, curls and swirls from the ribbon, a bow …. it’s up to whatever inspires you.

Here are my DT pieces for our Photo Inspiration Challenge …

red holly

green holly with bauble

They are a sort of two for one, when it comes to the holly. I simply die cut the holly from green card and then pieced the ‘left overs’ on a pice of red card to create my topper for my first card. To finish off i added some pearls, a bow and a golden peel-off sentiment.

For my second card, I attached my holly to a piece of designer paper, added a die cut bauble made up of a die cut circle with filigree bauble layered on top, stamped my sentiment and finished off with a gem, bow and some golden glitter glue.

Kathryne from StampArt DesignĀ is back with us again this week as our sponsor,Ā

and the winner will receive 5 digis from her store.

HopeĀ that you feel inspiredĀ to enterĀ this week’s ‘Photo Inspiration’ challenge at ATSM,Ā please pop over and see allĀ the other creations of the fabulous ATSM DT Team.

I simply stamped the wood BG on River Rock card and then stamped my flower directly over it using the generational stamping technique (Hardwood and Flower Shop sets by Stampin’Up!, inks River Rock, Rose red and Elegant Eggplant, card stock River Rock all by Stampin’Up!). I then stamped my sentiment (Amazing Inspirations by Inspired By Stamping), layered on purple card (from stash) and added a sequin to finish.

Hi Everybody,

You all know what this means, we want to see clean & simple cards with lots of white space.

Well, this time round I thought I’d give you two for one …

Christmas Landscape 2

Christmas landscape 3

As you can see I am still Clearly Besotted with this beautiful Tree Landscape die and STAMPlorations’ Christmas Flower from their Holiday Sketches range. I simply used the die to cut one piece of white card which I then layered on two my black base cards, adding the sentiment, ribbon and some white card to the inside finished my cards off nicely.

Look forward to seeing what you make for our CAS challenge, pop over to the ATSM Challenge Blog to see all the beautiful cards my teamies made and of course to link your projet(s) too.

QKR Stampede are back as our sponsors and you can win 3 digis of your choice from their shop.

catty hello

First I stamped my image, masked it off and then stamped the brushstrokes using the large brush stroke from the Celebrate Artsy set by STAMPlorations with some of my perlescent Artiste inks by docrafts for a lovely subtle shimmer. I stamped the circles and splashes, from the Grunge Me set by Papertrey Ink, beforeĀ colouring my image, a stamp by Hero Arts which I’ve had for ages, using a mixture of Promarkers and Tinge Alcohol Markers. To finish off I stamped the little bird added my sentiment, a die cut from Clearly Besotted, some gems before layering as seen. The BG is a piece of card that was given the spray ink treatment šŸ˜€

Hope you like it.

ATSM Challenge 111

Hi Everybody,

thanks for all your lovely comments, they are as always very much appreciated.

This week it’s Team B’s turn over at Addicted to Stamps & More, but I’m playing along for fun anyway. It is Anything Goes with the optional twist of ‘get well soon/thinking of you’ and I though that this lovely little bear image called ‘Little Bear Garden Delight’ by Kathryne from StampArt Designs, our sponsor for this week, would provide the perfect dose of TLC for Marie, who was one of the original ATSM DT members. She is having a rough time at the moment, so please pop over to her blog to let her know that we all are thinking of her.

Get well soon

I thought this image was so pretty and expressive that it would be be best suited to a CAS style card. I coloured my image using a mixture of Promarkers and Tinge Alcohol Markers, my stamped sentiment is from Wild Rose Studio.

Please pop over to the ATSM challenge blog to see the fantastic creations my Teamies came up with.

Back soon with more inspiration for you.

Until then

Happy Crafting!!! šŸ™‚

ATSM Challenge 110

Hi Everybody,

it’s time again for another challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More: Challenge #110 – Photo Inspirations

Kylie has selected a real beauty of a picture to take inspiration from …

… well the dancer’s skirt certainly reminds me of daffodils, but you also have wood as texture, the black-grey-white colour scheme ….

here is what I made of it so far … I see some more projects coming up which I’ll have to add/post later as I was thinking again it’s Monday today when it actually is Tuesday! The joys of a Bank Holiday LOL

acetate flower

I have used black card stock which has a slight texture. The flower is embossed on acetate using Frantage powder, fuzzy cut and layered onto a black scalloped circle. The grey strip is Washi tape, and I used some silver glitter card to frame before layering on my black base card.

As you’ve probably noticed by now, in my interpretation I’ve mainly one with the flower and texture in general plus a little bit of grey/silver. The Frantage powder is actually a very pale blue which makes for a softer contrast than pure white would.

Look forward to seeing what you make of our Photo Inspiration, pop over to the ATSM Challenge Blog to see all the beautiful cards my teamies made and of course to link your projet(s) too.

QKR Stampede are back as our sponsors and you can win 3 digis of your choice from their shop.

Please check out our rules here before linking up.

Back soon with more inspiration.

Have a lovely day and Happy Crafting!!! šŸ™‚

what I used:

Everything Eleanor stamp set, scalloped circle punch and glimmer brad by Stampin’Up!

Heat resistant acetate from Crafter’s Companion

Frantage embossing Powder by Stampendous

Washi tape, glitter card, black card and gems from stash

ATSM Challenge 108

Hi Everybody, it’s time again for another challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More, Challenge #108 – Holiday. Well. this time of year for me that means only one thing – Christmas, but then again you might have other interpretations of Holiday and I would love to see them.

Rick St. Dennis is back again as our sponsor with his funky images, pop over to his shop here to see which 3 you would pick, if you were the winner.

For my DT project I worked with an image called Rainbow Angel, and here is what I made:

Rainbow Angel

I simply coloured the angel using alcohol markers and layered it on gold mirror card before attaching it to mu base card. A peel-off, something I only ever use around Christmas time, was just the perfect finish.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Addicted to CAS – Gold

Inkspirational – use markers or pencils

Hope you enjoyed my piece of inspiration. Pop over to the Addicted to Stamps and MoreĀ Blog to see the fab creations my teamies have come up with and, of course to join into the fun too.

Happy Crafting!!! šŸ™‚
