Great British Seaside

Hello Everybody,

thanks for all your lovely comments … and most of all thanks for popping by. It is very much appreciated.

Today I have two cards for you, made using some lovely Nicecrane Designs images.

I have been working with the ‘Summer Time by Agnes Richardson’ Set, which contains 5 beautiful vintage summer images, two of which I have chosen for today’s post.

Both cards were inspired by the beautifully hot weather here in the UK!!!

Great British Seaside

This card is a celebration of the British Seaside. I had to use the lovely Papermania Portobello Road Papers. They were just perfect to go with this lovely seafront scene. The best thing about these Summer Time images is that they are already pre-coloured, and of course, being digital, they can be easily resized to whatever fits your requirements. Perfect for quick and stunning cards.

As you can see I’ve only just got back from holiday … still in beach mode, I guess … hmmm

The Kiss

This one is all about Summer, Sun & Fun! The image reminds me of those Arcade Boards where you can stick your face through to have your picture taken. I suppose you could re-create the effect by cutting the faces out and sticking some other faces in their place …

That’s it from me for today, back tomorrow with some more of these fabulous Summer Time by ‘Agnes Richardson’ images.

Happy Crafting!!! 🙂

The ‘Live Laugh Love’ sentiment stamp was one I got with the Craft Stamper Magazine and the stamps used in the second card came with the ‘Get Stamping’ Magazine.

Hatty Hatters

Hi Everybody,
Once again I am posting from my mobile hoping to join into the Out of a Hat Creations Challenge which for this week is a Bingo Card.
Well I used a stamp with a hat, added some Papermania Bookprint Paper for text and finished it off with a button from a coat I used to have about 15 years ago. Well I kept the buttons only. The stamp came with the January issue of Craft Stamper and is by Rogue Redhead Designs. I thought I’d try something with a bit of an Art Deco twist and added some fan shape like embossed lines to the silvery oval shape … and a bit if feathery glam.
Hope you like it.
Until next time …
Happy Crafting!!! 🙂

Hidden Twinchies

Hello Everybody,

so here it is my interpretation of this week’s Out of a Hat Creations Challenge. Remember in yesterday’s blog I mentioned that I was waiting for some spray-on varnish, well the postman tried to deliver it yesterday when I was out. After picking it up from the sorting office this morning, I finally finished the card. It is based on the ‘Hidden Panel Card’ I saw demonstrated on one of the Crafter’s Companion Ultimate Pro DVD’s. Part of the card looks like wowen squares. I changed the measurements to fit the decorated ‘Twinchies’.

Below is the front of the card. I wanted to keep is simple to reserve the wow-effect for the twinchies.

This is what it looks like from the inside …

… and here they are the hidden twinchies … appearing after gently pulling the tabs .. 6 2×2 inch decorated squares.

The varnish was sprayed on the butterfly panels only to give them a bit of a lift. The leaf panels were already highlighted by being fitted to the golden mirri card.

Here is what I used: burgundy card stock and sentiment stamp from Craftwork Cards; bravo burgundy ink, bravo burgundy Stamp’n’write marker, En Francais, Woodgrain and French Foliage stamps from Stampin’UP!; golden mirri card, ribbon, white card stock, sepia versafine ink and clear embossing powder from my stash; check paper from the Bouffle Papers by DoCrafts; crushed olive and tea stain inks by Tim Holtz/Ranger; Butterfly stamp from this month’s issue of Craft Stamper Magazine; Spray-on Varnish from Crafter’s Companion

Enjoy and Happy Crafting!!! 🙂
