Today I have a real cutie for you: Emily, Showers of Love

Emily Showers of Love

I just love how Emily is being showered with hearts, you can find her here in the Lacy Sunshine Shoppe.

I basically sized and printed her, then coloured her and used my Floral Frames to die cut her before blending the edges and layering my card as seen.

Sketch 6 Challenge at STAMPlorations

and ‘Keep Calm and Craft On’ …

Hello Everybody,

It is time again for another Sketch Challenge at STAMPlorations. Thanks to everybody who entered our challenges, sketch and monthly, in January. We had some great entries. Hope you’ll be joining us again for the Sketch #6 Challenge.¬†Here is the sketch to take your inspiration from:

I did something different for this sketch challenge … it is not a card … it’s the cover for my Stamp Storage Book, which I made for my lovely STAMPlorations stamps:

Stamp Storage Book

It is something I had in mind for a while, and finally this week I felt I had to give it a go. I won’t go into too much detail, as I’ve made a couple of YouTube videos, which can be found here. I still need to edit the second video before uploading it. I went over time and got my tongue in a twist a few times, but I stayed calm and crafted on … well the cough didn’t help either. I am hoping to be able to take the lengthy coughing spell out, should have taken some water with me, just in case … will do next time. Also Shery will showcase the videos later in the week, they will be ready by then.

In brief … for my cover I stamped on cream slightly rougher card for an antique look finish using the PATCHWORK FRENZY Graphic Pentagons and ¬†the VIGNETTE Artful Flutters stamp sets by STAMPlorations. It is a one layer cover and I did some masking before stamping my pentagon shape in river rock, always artichoke, poppy parade and riding hood red. I did some blending to highlight my masked shapes before removing the masks and further blending in the label shape. I then stamped my sentiments in artichoke.

I have some more projects planned for tutorials using STAMPloration stamps, and my samples are already done, just need to do the recording …

Hope you like my little book and feel inspired to try making something different …

Shery has made a video tutorial for her card, a very artsy one.¬†Please pop over to the Challenge Blog to see hers and all the other amazing projects that my DT Teamies have created … and of course … to join in the fun. The winner will receive 3 digital products from our sponsor All About Scrapping.

I am leaving you with a sneak preview of the new SUBWAY ART BUILDER stamps due for release in March …

Happy Stamping!!!

Here is what else I used: Zutter ‘Bind it All’, ‘Keep Calm’ stamp from Hobbycraft and inks mentioned above from Stampin’Up!, cream card, ribbons and binding rings from my stash

ATSM Challenge 80

Hi Everybody,

Thanks so much for your lovely comments. They were all very much appreciated.

It is Wednesday again and time for another challenge at¬†Addicted to Stamps and More¬†…¬†¬†Challenge #80 – Photo Inspiration!!!

I know this will be popular as there is so much scope with this picture, hearts, Valentine’s Day, pastel colours to name just a few. Please take the time to check out the full details of the challenges and their rules, which can be found here.

This week we are welcoming Karen for a second time as our guest designer.

Our sponsor this week is Deedee’s Digis.

The winner will receive 3 digi sets of their choice.

You might remember from my post yesterday that I went to my local Hobbycraft in Chester … well I picked up a little beauty of a stamp right by the till … just perfect for our challenge.¬†

heart of hearts

As you can see, I took my inspiration from the heart shaped box with little hearts inside and some of the pastel colours. I basically colored my stamp with markers, stamped the image and masked it off before turning my stamp back to front and stamping the broken outline with the reverse side and die-cutting in with a scalloped heart die. I then die-cut a plain heart from the centre of some white card and stamped my sentiment below before assembling my card as seen in the picture.

Hope you like it!

Hope¬†that you feel inspired¬†to enter¬†this week’s¬†‘Photo Inspiration’ challenge at ATSM,¬†please pop over and see all the other creations of the fabulous ATSM DT Team.

I am also entering this card in the CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge for the following sketch

Please join the fun … look forward to seeing your creations … and
Happy Crafting!!!!

Angelic Christmas

Hello Everybody,

Back again! Given that today is ‘World Cardmaking Day’ I had to do another post before going off to North Wales at lunch time ūüôā

It is also one to be shared with the Hatters again.

For this one I went for a more traditional lay-out look and used one of my favourite stamps from Personal Impressions. I got this one a long time ago at HobbyCraft when they first opened in Chester.

We will also be making this card in my Make & Take Class in late November … something for you to look forward to ūüôā … for more details check out the Classes page on my blog.

This stamp is so beautifully¬†detailed that I can’t bring myself to colour it in, I slightly shaded the edges of the white piece of card instead. The lovely snowflake border is a Memory Box die -my¬†favourite make at the moment- and you can get it on-line from Crafts U Love Ltd.

That’s it from me. See you next week …

Happy Crafting!!! ūüôā
