Showers of Love

Hi Everybody,

thanks for all your lovely comments. So glad you liked the cards I made using the papers from the Quick Cards Made Easy Magazine.

Today I have a real cutie for you: Emily, Showers of Love

Emily Showers of Love

I just love how Emily is being showered with hearts, you can find her here in the Lacy Sunshine Shoppe.

I basically sized and printed her, then coloured her and used my Floral Frames to die cut her before blending the edges and layering my card as seen.

I would like to enter her into:

Lacy Sunshine Challenge #38 – Flowers

Inkspirational – Splash

Enjoy and have a lovely weekend!

Happy Crafting!!! 🙂

Sending a Hug

Hi Everybody,

Thanks for popping by and leaving me such lovely comments.

I have been invited to be the Guest Sunshine Girl over at the Lacy Sunshine Challenge Blog for their Challenge#34 – dies and/or punches.

I had the pleasure of choosing one of their Sweet Urchins Images. I picked Rory Love Letters …

here is what I made …

sending a hug

As you can see, I was very lucky as I was able to take my photograph outside in brilliant sunshine on Wednesday.

To show Rory off I decided to use a die-cut frame and some punched hearts on a background of pre-embossed and sanded core-dinations card stock. I sewed the larger hearts onto the card with an utterly wonky line, did some more wonky stitching around the outside, this time without twine before attaching my fuzzy fibers and my Promarker coloured image to which I had added the sentiment and a faux stitched border. You may have noticed that the border seems to have a couple of gaps … it’s a technique I tend to use to add depth and make an image stand out. Next I punched out some smaller hearts, slightly dabbed them onto one of my pearlescent pigment ink pads to give them texture and a subtle sheen and attached them as the finishing touch to my card.

Expect to see more of the super cute lacy Sunshine Images, I got a few more that I haven’t shown off yet. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by, please pop over to the Lacy Sunshine Challenge Blog to see the amazing projects of their Design Team. The ladies are just so talented at colouring ….

Have a lovely day and Happy Crafting 🙂

Hi Everybody,

thanks for stopping by and leaving such lovely comments.

Today’s project is one to be entered into the Anything Goes challenge #33 over at Lacy Sunshine. It is a very girlie card for you inspired by the window of sunshine we had today.

Seize the Moment

Well I was hoping to capture the essence of the abundance of nature at this time of year. It is also lovely to have the windows and doors open to allow the sunshine into the house ….

Have a lovely day!

CAS Grunge and Girly Girl

Hi Everyone,

thanks for your lovely comments, they were very much appreciated.

Today I have two projects for you. First of all a big Thanks to Manderly from Lacy Sunshine for her help yesterday. This brings me to my first card the girly Emmmilou Boo’s Inchworm, the digi for their challenge #32, which I want to enter, the theme is ‘Favourite Colours’. I have chosen to work mainly with pink and green to create this dreamy card …

Emmilou Boo's Inchworm

I had to take the picture before the glitter glue had time to dry as I wanted to get the post out tonight. The sentiment is from STAMPlorations’ new release SUBWAY ART BUILDER Dare and goes really well with the cute Emmilou. Thought the pretty patchwork paper from the docrafts Boofle collection would be perfect to go with Emmilou’s casual look.

My second card is a CAS Grunge one …

CAS GrungeI have been meaning to use the big sentiment stamp by LOTV for quite a while, finally I had my chance. I teamed it up with Kaisercraft’s Grid stamp, Papertrey Ink’s Grunge Me Set (Larger splatters) and STAMPlorations’ Holiday Artsy set (rings) plus Island Indigo, Baja Breeze and Pool Party inks by Stampin’Up!  To add to the grunge feel I slightly sanded my white brads and tied the twine offset from my two embossed lines. To Finish I sprayed some Baja Breeze and Island Indigo to add the fine splatters.

I want to enter this grungy card into the following challenges

Additcted to CAS – Grunge

CASology – Metal, the word ‘Nickels’ and the brads

Less is More – Three colours or three shades of the same colour, I used shades of blue

Cardz 4 Guyz – Bingo Card, I went for Twine, Brads, Embossing (2 embossed lines)

Finally I would like to remind you of the STAMPlorations Blog Hop, there is still time to join in …

With only 9 stops and lots of prizes up for grabs, it should be easy for you even if you never hopped before, more details can be found here.

Enjoy and Happy Crafting!!!

Grace in each Step

Hello Everybody,

I’ve just finished colouring the beautiful Emily Spring Ladybugs by Lacy Sunshine and finally made the card I wanted to make last week … that was before I got stuck into re-organizing the house … LOL It is a sort of an ongoing project so far, I am moving crafting out of the dining room into our second bedroom upstairs … need I say more … 🙂

Now Emily is ready to be entered into the Lacy Sunshine Challenge #31 – Make it Feminine

Here she is …

Emily Spring Ladybugs

I went with soft colours, fabric patterned papers, ornate frame, dry embossing and some tiny daisies with gems to add the feminine touches.

Hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by and leaving lovely comments, they are very much appreciated.

Happy Crafting!!! 🙂

Cardmaking Contrasts

Hi Everybody,

Thanks for all your lovely comments, they are very much appreciated.

Today I have two completely different cards for you.

Here is my first card, very CAS using some of the free Easter Downloads from the docrafts Creativity Club:

Hi Chicks

I simply used one of my lovely Xcut punches to punch my border, cur a strip of green paper, attached it to my card and added some pink ricrac ribbon (Fantastic Ribbons). I then fuzzy cut some chickens, adhered a wing to one of them (bird builder punch by Stampin’Up!), attached them to my card and added some gems as eyes. I then hand wrote my sentiment and doodled a border around my speech bubble and added it to my card to finish.

On my next card I went a bit ‘bling mad’. I used the lovely Penelope Pansy image be Lacy Sunshine which is on offer here.

Penelope Pansy

I was in two minds whether to post this card or not, but then decided to go ahead with it anyway. As you can see I have used another quirky colour scheme, it was either going to be pink/lilac or the one above with its contrasting colours. For my colouring of Penelope I tried something different to what I normally do and I rather like it.

I also decided to link it up with a couple of challenges

Lacy Sunshine – Challenge #30 add a Flower or flowers

House of Cards – Cute/Fun or Shabby/Vintage plus this sketch

Wishing you a lovely day and

Happy Crafting!!! 🙂
