Diamond Cuties

Hello Everybody,

Hope you all had a good weekend.

Today I have a couple of Cuties to share with you. I fancied making a fancy shaped card, especially after Patricia St Martin’s Diamond Origami Fold Card Tutorial landed in my inbox … and it had been sitting there for a while until I finally got to make one or two.

This is what they look like once they are folded up:

And here they are opened out:

I basically used the same idea and slightly changed the colours. This type of card would be very suited to making some Art Deco cards, as a matter of fact I have one which is work in progress. Maybe I need to go and see ‘The Great Gatsby’ for some added inspiration … hmm … now there is a thought.

Well I used some Lily of the Valley round sentiment stamps and die-cuts, X-Cut looped border punch, Memory Box Nottingham Border die, Tonic Studio flower punches (small flower), Stampin’Up! Mixed Bunch stamp set, Blossom and circle punch, Spellbinders circle and scalloped circle nestabilities dies plus daisy punch, ribbon, buttons, gems, pearls, paper and card from my stash.

Back soon with more crafty bits … until then

Love is in the Air

Hello Everybody,

apologies for having been a bit offline recently. I somehow didn’t get round to crafting much.

Well first of all I have a super cute Valentine’s Card for you. It is made with┬áthe freebie stamp and paper of the current issue of ‘Simply Cards and Papercraft’:

Cute Valentine

Apart from the freebies I used promarkers for colouring; Nellies Multiframes; Memorybox Nottingham Border die; Stampin’Up! Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, Poppy Parade┬ácardstock┬áand Word Window Punch; Organza ribbon from Fantastic Ribbons; Black Memento Inkpad┬áand red jewels from my own stash.

I also want to share another card with you today. It is one I intended to enter into a challenge on the Addicted to Clean & Simple Blog, but I didn’t have time┬áto make it before the challenge closed. Well there is always another time …

Anyway here it is:

In my heart & in my soul

I just love this stamp, and best of all it is another freebie and available with the current issue of Creative Stamping.

It is a simple black & white theme with a red glitter highlighted heart. To add that little bit extra, I used some┬áCentura White pearlised card from Crafter’s Companion for one of the layers.

Hope you like it.

Please check out my Stamping Classes, I’ve updated the dates. Back with more cards tomorrow!!!
