ATSM Challenge 99

Hi Everybody,

Thanks so much for your lovely comments. They were all very much appreciated.

It is Wednesday again and time for another challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More …  Challenge #99 – CAS!!! We’d like to see clean and simple cards with lots of white space. Please take the time to check out the full details of the challenges and their rules, which can be found here.

We have a new sponsor this week, QKR Stampede, and the winner will receive 3 digis from their store.

Here it is my DT piece for our CAS Challenge …

Appaloosa Foal

I made this card for my sister who loves horses using the Appaloosa Foal image from QKR Stampede. Now I am not a horsey person at all, but I simply coloured the image with Promarkers using shades that resemble the colouring of my sister’s horse.

I then partially cut around the image, stamped my sentiment (Wild Rose Studio) partially on and off the image, scored three lines down one side of my base card, layered my image using 3D foam and added two tiny hearts to finish.

Hope that you feel inspired to enter this week’s ‘CAS’ challenge at ATSM, please pop over and see all the other creations of the fabulous ATSM DT Team.
Please join the fun … look forward to seeing your creations … and
Happy Crafting!!!!

Sending a Hug

Hi Everybody,

Thanks for popping by and leaving me such lovely comments.

I have been invited to be the Guest Sunshine Girl over at the Lacy Sunshine Challenge Blog for their Challenge#34 – dies and/or punches.

RoryGuestDesignerBadge

I had the pleasure of choosing one of their Sweet Urchins Images. I picked Rory Love Letters …

here is what I made …

sending a hug

As you can see, I was very lucky as I was able to take my photograph outside in brilliant sunshine on Wednesday.

To show Rory off I decided to use a die-cut frame and some punched hearts on a background of pre-embossed and sanded core-dinations card stock. I sewed the larger hearts onto the card with an utterly wonky line, did some more wonky stitching around the outside, this time without twine before attaching my fuzzy fibers and my Promarker coloured image to which I had added the sentiment and a faux stitched border. You may have noticed that the border seems to have a couple of gaps … it’s a technique I tend to use to add depth and make an image stand out. Next I punched out some smaller hearts, slightly dabbed them onto one of my pearlescent pigment ink pads to give them texture and a subtle sheen and attached them as the finishing touch to my card.

Expect to see more of the super cute lacy Sunshine Images, I got a few more that I haven’t shown off yet. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by, please pop over to the Lacy Sunshine Challenge Blog to see the amazing projects of their Design Team. The ladies are just so talented at colouring ….

Have a lovely day and Happy Crafting 🙂

Here it is my DT piece for our CAS Challenge …

Frosty Friend

Aren’t they just cute??? I found this Frosty Friend image from our sponsor StampArt Design simply adorable. I really love these two characters and apart from making great Winter/Christmas cards they’re just perfect for a Friendship card.

I simply sized, printed and coloured these ‘frosty’ friends’ who of course are made of the same stuff of course using my promarkers and finished my card off by adding a punched border (Xcut by docrafts), two scored lines, a sentiment (Wild Rose Studio) and a kiss before layering on a piece of blue card and finally on my white base card.

ATSM Challenge 71

Our sponsor this week is Sami Stamps.

The winner will receive a $12 gift voucher to her store.

Here is my DT piece for this week:

One layer notelet

I have been playing with creating multiple layer one-layer-cards. My challenge was to create multiple faux layers without masking … or I just didn’t feel like stamping and cutting out to create my mask 🙂 …

… but I did use a ready-made mask as a stencil for the dotted background. I place my stencil directly on the card and using some shaving brushes randomly applied pink, green and yellow ink through my stencil to create the multi-coloured dots. I then stamped first the yellow mesh, then the green swirl and the sentiment directly on top. next I stamped the flower in versamark and embossed it with glittery pink WOW embossing powder before adding the silvery outlines using a gel pen. To finish the card off I added some silver glass glitter to the centre of my flower … a quick and easy, postage friendly note card!

Hope you like it!

Stars and Stripes

Hello Everybody,
Thanks for all your lovely comments. Sorry, I haven’t been able to visit many of your blogs to say hello. I am still on holiday, went for a long one this year. I managed to sneak a few crafty bits into the caravan … and with a bit of creativity I am able to join the current challenge at Out of a Hat Creations which is ‘Stars and Stripes’.

Here is what I used: Ultimate Pro from Crafter’s Companion, sentiment stamp from Wild Rose Studio, inks fom Srampin’Up!, black fineliner, card blank and sanding block from my stash.

Enjoy!!!
