In Love With Cats

Hi Everybody,

First of all a massive THANK YOU to all of you who left such lovely comments, they were very much appreciated.

After blogging all week about the fantastic new STAMPlorations stamps, I thought I’d give you a bit of a break today. 🙂 Those of you who are interested can find more details at the end of this post.

Back to my initial intention … it is an open secret, that I LOVE cats. Big or small, I must be there No 1 Fan!

catty birthday

Hence I couldn’t resist these great Xcut dies by docrafts. 13 cat silhouettes plus 3 accessories should provide me with ‘cats for all occasions’! A quick and easy card to make. The sentiment is a Papermania stamp by docrafts simply stamped and decorated with my new catty friends. Oh, and I did add a couple of dashed lines and gems too.

Ooops, I almost forgot, I promised to share this link for MISTI pre-orders, the most amazing stamping tool ever. If you are not familiar with MISTI check out Iliana’s video. It is her product, she invented it and has now finally found a manufacturer who can reproduce the high quality of her previously hand assembled ones:

This is the day you have been waiting for!  I will be taking preorders for the screen printed MISTIs.  The estimated delivery date is December 17th.  I have made this video explaining the difference and how to care for MISTI.  PLEASE watch and also PLEASE read the product description before purchasing.  Thank you so much for your patience.  It has been a long process.  You can preorder at

GIVEAWAY:  I will be giving away one MISTI, one magnet, one cleaner, and one grid pad to one randomly selected person that places an order by December 1st.

That’s it from me for today. Back again tomorrow with some more inspiration … until then

Happy Crafting!!! 🙂

Patchwork Cottage

Hello Everybody,

just a quick post from me today.

I challenged myself to push beyond some stamping boundaries I had, admittedly they were only perceived ones, but here is what I came up with:

Patchwork Cottage

You can see how I stamped the cottage here on my TinkerCards tutorial blog, where you also find a list of tools and materials used.

Thanks for stopping by …

Have a lovely weekend and

Happy Crafting!!! 🙂

The cottage is stamped using Graphic Pentagons and Graphic Squares stamp sets from STAMPlorations Patchwork Frenzy Range.

Cute 1st Birthday

Hello Everybody,

thanks for all your lovely comments, they are very much appreciated.

Just a quick post today. I needed to make a 1st Birthday Card for my hubby’s nephew’s daughter. Of course when they are so young one has to go for out and out cute.

Here it is:

cute 1st birthday

As you’ve probably noticed I don’t make many children’s cards hence I haven’t got much in my stash that would be suitable. Luckily I remembered that I had a set by Adam Prescott which came as a freebie with the Quick Cards Made Easy Magazine ages ago, which would fit the bill. I used two of the stamps to create my focal image. I simply stamped one, masked it off and then stamped the other image before colouring the lot with Promarkers. I also had some pretty pink paper which was suitable. I cut it to size, rounded the corners, added the daisy corners and matted & layered my image and paper on bright pink card adding a punched border (using a Tonic Studio Punch) in contrasting white as I went along. I the die-cut and stamped the ‘1st’ (Xcut dies and stamps by docrafts) initially in a lighter and then over-stamped it in a darker lilac. I then arranged them on my card and stamped the ‘Happy Birthday’ (VIGNETTE Chevrons and Arrows by STAMPlorations) before attaching my die-cuts using 3-D foam. To finish I added two punched hearts (small heart punch from Stampin’Up!) and some glossy accent highlights.

I want to enter this card into the Moo-mania challenge where the theme is Africa hoping that the zebra and giraffe will qualify.

Hope you enjoyed my card and that you feel inspired … back soon … until then …

Happy Crafting!!! 🙂

TARDIS the next Generation

Hi Everybody,

Thanks for all your lovely comments on my Butterfly Meadow Post. So glad you like the card.

… and no I am not going all TREKKI and SCIFI on you … but it is a card I have wanted to do for a while, and given that this weeks theme at Out of a Hat Creations is ‘Transport’, I thought now or never.

Tardis series 2

This one is for my nephew over in Bavaria, who recently discovered the joys of watching DR Who, unfortunately he is not allowed to watch it on BBC iplayer as I so innocently suggested, he hasn’t got a British IP address!!! So I hope this will do the trick.

Nick and I had a real giggle last night when I got about passing an old fashioned phone box off as an even older police phone box, hence ‘series 2’ … which in itself is modelled on BMW’s typing of cars. (BMW roughly translates as Bavarian Motor Industries). I am not so sure it works that well as a joke, but I am sure he’ll see it as one.

Here is what I used: X-cut triboss embossing folder and cogs cutting dies; Sizzix Tim Holtz Alterations Swirl; LOTV grunge corners stamps; SU feeling sentimental stamp set, night of navy card, night of navy, pool party and island indigo inks; Crafter’s Companion core-dination card; white card and nail heads from my own stash and the sentiment is one I made up on my computer.

Hope you like it. Enjoy!!!

Have a great weekend and

Happy Crafting!!! 🙂

In Love with Cats

Hi Everybody,

I am so excited to share my card ideas with you as part of the Addicted to Stamps and More Design Team.

Making my debut was made really easy, because the very inspirational stamps from Di’s Digi Downloads, our sponsor for this week and in fact the whole month of June!!!

Thanks also to Kylie, Loll, Florence, Danielle, Nonni, Shana, Sue, Caz, Sandie and Deepti for making me so welcome, and of course for all your help too. 🙂

As already mentioned above our sponsor for the whole month of June is

My Digi Store

And this weeks challenge #48 at ATSAM is ADDICTED TO COLOUR … and what beautiful colours we have to work with

We have a lovely pastel yellow, plum and green … and here is what I made:

Daisy with Kittens I

The colour challenge invites you to use the challenge colours (or as close as you can get, the Spampin’Up! colours are a guide only) plus any neutrals. As you can see the neutrals used on my card are white, grey, brown and skin tones. Apart from that I used the following Promarkers: Pear & Leaf Green for the shoes and hair band, Gold & Buttercup for the dress and Orchid & Cool Grey1 for the hair. Blending Orchid with Cool Grey1 gave me a colour similar to Perfect Plum, similarly Pear and Leaf Green achieved a colour close to Wild Wasabi and Gold with Buttercup gave me a colour close to So Saffron.

All of these were used to colour the beautifully cute ‘Daisies Kittens’ stamp by Di’s Digi Downloads before layering it on Perfect Plum Card. I then embossed some So Saffron card, rounded one of the corners and edged it using Wild Wasabi ink. I then die cut the fence from white glitter card and the green leafy swirls from Wild Wasabi card. I stamped the sentiment, layered it on some Wasabi card and punched lots of white little daisies before assembling it all and finishing off by adding yellow gems to the daisy centres.

I like the garden-feel of the card and Daisy looks as if she is certainly enjoying herself surrounded by all these kittens wanting a cuddle. Maybe the sunshine over the last couple of days had something to do with the inspiration for the card … and of course I can’t resist a catty stamp. 🙂

Please pop over to Addicted to Stamps and More and have a look at all the fabulous creations from the very talented Design Team Members … and please do join in the fun.

Hope that you feel inspired to try our colour challenge …

Happy Crafting!!! 🙂

Dies used are from X-Cut, Marianne Creatables and Magnolia DooHickey, the small daisy punch is from Woodware
