Stamps and Spring Challenge at STAMPlorations

Hi Everybody,

it’s time again for another monthly challenge at STAMPlorations … it is March and the challenge theme is …

… and you have until the 31 st March to enter for your chance to win 2 stamp sets from the VIGNETTE, Patchwork Frenzy or SUBWAY ART BUILDER range, the winner will get to choose two sets of their choice. More details can be found on the STAMPlorations Blog here.

This is the piece I have created to get your creative juices flowing:

Ray of Sunshine

As you can see I went for a very Springy colour scheme – yellow with a touch of green. Well daffodils are my favourite Spring flowers and after having been to Llandudno, the daffodil-capital of Wales, to celebrate St David’s Day last weekend … what else was I supposed to do??? …apart from doing a Facebook test on ‘how Welsh I am’ – 95% it said LOL …let’s call Wales my Spiritual Home!

Needless to say, the colours in my card are inspired by daffodils …

I simply cut some bright yellow card as my base card and a piece of smaller white card as my topper. I then punched the pretty border using my Xcut punch and stamped my sentiment from the VIGNETTE Tree Silhouettes set by STAMPlorations. I then picked the stem and flower from the VIGNETTE Eclectic Florals set also from STAMPlorations and stamped my stems and leaves using the stem stamp in wild wasabi followed by the flower is daffodil delight (both inks by Stampin’Up!). I then attached my topper to my base and finished the card off by adding a lime green organza ribbon.

A video tutorial on how to make this card plus a list of all measurements and materials can be found here on my TinkerCards Blog.

Enjoy!

As always there is a twist … if you enter all 3 challenges in a month you’ll be in with a chance of winning  this prize package donated by All About Scrapping.

To enter and to check out all the lovely creations by my teamies simply pop over to the STAMPlorations Blog.

That’s it from me for today, back soon, until then …

Happy Crafting!!! 🙂
