A Little Canvas

Hi All,

Just a quick one. I finally got around to making a little canvas, something I have been meaning to do for a while. Here She is …

I made her as my Spotlight project for the STAMPlorations Blog. Feel free to pop over and check out how I made her.

Have a lovely day!

It’s Been A While

Hello All,

It’s been a while since I posted on my blog here. If you are wondering what I have been up to regarding card making and crafting, you can see my makes over at my TinkerCards Blog. This is also where currently the STAMPlorations April Stamp Release Blog Hop is in full swing.

Back to my blog here … as you know in January I started using my TinkerCards Blog to post my crafty makes. Since then I have been thinking what to do with this blog here. I am getting closer to deciding exactly what I want to do, just not sure about the HOW as yet. Part of my plan is to use it to sell some of my makes. They are piling up at home, and the place is getting somewhat crowded. 😀

I am not a big one for going to Craft Fairs hence the thought of using this blog rather than a FB page. I would still be posting pictures of my makes with a link to the description on how I made them. What are your thoughts??? Your input would be very much appreciated.

Thanks, I shall be back soon.

STAMPlorations Blog Hop Day 5

Hi Everybody,

I know it’s a while since I posted on Monika’s Blog as most of my posts are over on TinkerCards now, but since it is Blog Hop Week at STAMPlorations, I thought I’d post here too. 🙂

Today we, the STAMPlorations Girls and our guest designer Laura Bassen, are shining the spotlight on: A Girl and Her Shoes

stmp1095.jpeg

As soon as I saw this set, I fell in love with the boots and felt I had to do something with a map. The question was, which colour to use for the boots.

I stamped them out to start, something I tend to do when I am not quite sure is to start anyway, and that’s when it hit me, they had to be red! Well, what can I say, they simply started walking to create this card here, and then for today’s card they arrived in TURKEY. God knows where they’re now, I shall keep you posted once I caught up with them.

I used a shaped border die to cut my map, recycled from last year’s diary, attached it to my base card, added my sentiment and fuzzy cut red boots, and the card was finished!

Check out what the rest of the team made! You’ll find links to all our projects here.

STAMPlorations Blog Hop Day 4

Hi Everybody,

I know it’s a while since I posted on Monika’s Blog as most of my posts are over on TinkerCards now, but since it is Blog Hop Week at STAMPlorations, I thought I’d post here too. 🙂

Today we, the STAMPLorations Girls and our guest designer Laura Bassen, are shining the spotlight on: The Bee’s Knees Newlyweds Extras and Sentiment Builders: Love

stmp1092.jpeg  stmp1091.jpeg

For today’s project I made a CAS card using Sentiment Builders: Love

First I stamped the two hearts and embossed them in white. I then masked the top bit off and blended yellow and pink inks. I removed the mask and stamped my sentiment into place before rounding the corners, layering on my base card and finishing off by adding a few gems.

I would like to enter this card into the CAS challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More, STAMPlorations is sponsoring this week. 🙂

My next card is another CAS card, this time with a birthday theme, using the The Bee’s Knees Newlyweds Extras and VIGNETTE Chevron & Arrows. This is one I want to enter in the current CASology challenge, which STAMPlorations is sponsoring too.

I went back to basics and used coloured inks to stamp the bouquet and sentiment before rounding a couple of corners, layering on my kraft base card and adding some gems to finish.

STAMPlorations Blog Hop Day 3

Hi Everybody,

I know it’s a while since I posted on Monika’s Blog as most of my posts are over on TinkerCards now, but since it is Blog Hop Week at STAMPlorations, I thought I’d post here too. 🙂

Today we, the STAMPlorations Girls and our guest designer Laura Bassen, are shining the spotlight on: The Bee’s Knees Newlyweds

stmp1093.jpeg

I decided to make a Wedding card in soft pastel tones, here it is:

I softly blended one side using a light shade of turquoise and randomly stamped the small bouquet from the Newlyweds Extras set down the same side using the same pale turquoise ink. I then attached my fuzzy cut couple, which I had previously used as mask when I made this card here hence the golden splatters, stamped my sentiment, layered it all on my white base card and added a few gems to finish.

Check out what the rest of the team made! You’ll find links to all our projects here.

STAMPlorations Blog Hop Day 2

Hi Everybody,

I know it’s a while since I posted on Monika’s Blog as most of my posts are over on TinkerCards now, but since it is Blog Hop Week at STAMPlorations, I thought I’d post here too. 🙂

Today we, the STAMPLorations Girls and our guest designer Laura Bassen, are shining the spotlight on: Bold Sentiments: Hashtag Authentic

stmp1090.jpeg

Don’t you just love these grungy words!? I had to put them into an artsy context. The idea for this card came when I was playing with Brushos and created this almost heart shaped image …

I had spritzed a piece of card with water before sprinkling Brushos on, the heart shaped pattern happened by itself. I then waited for it to dry, gold embossed ‘Authentic’, stamped the word ‘be’ in black and attached my punched out heart before layering it all on my white base card and finishing off with a few sequins.

STAMPlorations Blog Hop

Hi Everybody,

I know it’s a while since i posted on Monika’s Blog as most of my posts are over on TinkerCards now, but since it is Blog Hop Week at STAMPlorations, I thought I’d post here too. 🙂

Today we, the STAMPLorations Girls and our guest designer Laura Bassen, are shining the spotlight on: The Bee’s Knees: Houses

stmp1094.jpeg

These wonky houses are great, you can use them on their own or build little street scenes with them and use them any time of year, that’s including Christmas!

Here is my house-y card

I die-cut my fluffy cloud border, stamped and coloured my house, layered it on my base card, stamped my sentiment, rounded one corner and finished off by adding twine, charm and sequins. This could be an easy and quick New Home card.

Apart from The Bee’s Knees: Houses I used the ‘sweet’ sentiment from Sugar Rush.

Check out what the rest of the team made! You’ll find links to all our projects here.

Playing With Background Stamps

Hi Everybody,

thanks for your lovely comments and thanks also for popping over to and joining/following my new blog. You might have noticed that I changing over to Blogger. It makes commenting and staying in touch a little easier. Ever since I decided on the move, I had been looking for the Google Friend Connect button and finally found it!!! YAY! Given that it has taken me so long to find the little gadget I am extending the Blog Candy, one of my hand made calendars, deadline until Sunday 4th January 12 noon GMT. I shall be drawing two lucky winners from my followers over at my new blog of one calendar each. This will be from the new Friend Connect and Google+ ones.

Here is a little taster of the projects I am currently sharing:

Two more projects plus the craft along-videos can be found over at TinkerCards. Hope you’ll join me there.

Before I go, just a quick note: If you have been sitting on the fence about joining the STAMPlorations STAMP CLUB, now is a really good time to do it. With more products being added to the inclusive package next year, joining now will actually save you money. The full details and pre-view of what’s new for 2015 can be found here. Their After Christmas Sale is still on until 31st December 2014, and as a STAMP CLUB member there will be extra savings for you too, details of which can be found here.

Wishing you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR full of crafting magic!

hugs
