This is a little corner of one of the cards I made. To see the whole card and find out how I made it, pop over to TinkerCards.
Thanks for all the lovely comments you’ve been leaving, they were very much appreciated.
That’s it from me for today.
Have a lovely day and Happy Crafting!!!

This and That

Hi Everyone,
Thanks so much for your lovely comments, they are very much appreciated.
Today I want to share a few cards with you which were the projects of last Saturday’s Make & Take Class. It also be gives me the opportunity to try out my new tablet which arrived today. 😉
This is where I had intended to make some cards, but hey …. Loving it so far especially as using the tablet provides me with a more natural reading position.
Back to the cards …

image

This is my favourite, looks like a lot of work, but is very easy to do. I simply inked up an acrylic block and stamped it onto a piece of white card. Yes, I used the one with the ridge again. I then stamped the Christmas Tree and sentiment in a darker blue and my card was finished. Tree and sentiment are Penny Black stamps which came as a gift with a magazine recently.

Given that the tree is a kind of dotty, I would like to enter this card over at Addicted to CAS where the theme is DOTS.
On to my next card which uses an Inkwell stamp that came with the Craft Stamper magazine a while ago …

image

This is another easy to make card. I stamped the stars in black on a piece of white card, layered on a slightly larger piece of black and then onto my base card. Doodled border, gems and peel-off complete the look.
Next up are a couple of projects using the penguin papers from the docrafts creativity club.

image

I fuzzy cut the smallest of the penguins and added a shaped decoupaged layer over its face and belly. I then die cut my border using my new Lil-inker dies from Make The Day Special, stamped my greeting in black and layered it onto my base card using blue dotted paper as background before finishing off with an orange star.
The next card is a bit of fun …

image

Simple fuzzy cutting, ink spritzing and stamping … The keen observer will have noticed that I used my favourite stitching stamp from STAMPlorations too. It is always good to build it n for grounding images. 🙂
Last up is one where I tried my hand at colouring on vellum …

Hope you enjoyed my little offering today, back soon with more makes, until then
Happy Crafting!!! 😀

Hence I couldn’t resist these great Xcut dies by docrafts. 13 cat silhouettes plus 3 accessories should provide me with ‘cats for all occasions’! A quick and easy card to make. The sentiment is a Papermania stamp by docrafts simply stamped and decorated with my new catty friends. Oh, and I did add a couple of dashed lines and gems too.

Ooops, I almost forgot, I promised to share this link for MISTI pre-orders, the most amazing stamping tool ever. If you are not familiar with MISTI check out Iliana’s video. It is Wednesday again and time for another challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More …  Challenge #120 – Photo Inspiration!!! Please take the time to check out the full details of the challenges and their rules, which can be found here.

Kylie has chosen another great photo to take inspiration from, here it is:

There is lots of scope here, you could go with the bauble, stars or general Christmas theme or choose any of the colours in any combination. The photo looks really crisp and clean which would make CAS an option too, curls and swirls from the ribbon, a bow …. it’s up to whatever inspires you.

Here are my DT pieces for our Photo Inspiration Challenge …

red holly

green holly with bauble

They are a sort of two for one, when it comes to the holly. I simply die cut the holly from green card and then pieced the ‘left overs’ on a pice of red card to create my topper for my first card. To finish off i added some pearls, a bow and a golden peel-off sentiment.

For my second card, I attached my holly to a piece of designer paper, added a die cut bauble made up of a die cut circle with filigree bauble layered on top, stamped my sentiment and finished off with a gem, bow and some golden glitter glue.

Kathryne from StampArt Design is back with us again this week as our sponsor,

and the winner will receive 5 digis from her store.

Hope that you feel inspired to enter this week’s ‘Photo Inspiration’ challenge at ATSM, please pop over and see all the other creations of the fabulous ATSM DT Team.

Autumn Magic

Hello Everybody,

Thanks for all your lovely comments, as always they were very much appreciated.

I’ll keep this one short and sweet today as I finally went down with a cold after fighting it all week. Guess my body is telling me it wants some rest …

and of course I shall oblige after I shared some cards with you.

The first one is one I made as my entry for this month’s Autumn Colours challenge over at the Lavinia Stamps Blog.

Autumn Magic

Next up are the cards I made last week when I was one of the lucky ones who were able to attend a workshop run by Tracey and Kevin from Lavinia Stamps.

wpid-dsc_0908.jpg

For the first one, my background was created using my brayer …

wpid-dsc_0906.jpg

for the second card, I used one of their background scenes and stamped the stars, mushrooms, circles and borders …

wpid-dsc_0905.jpg

for my third and forth card, I used a gelli printing plate to create the background and some gold foil to frame.

wpid-dsc_0903.jpg

Hope you enjoyed my little offering. Here is the craft-along video on how I made my first card. Enjoy!

Have a lovely weekend everyone …

Happy Crafting!!! 🙂

ATSM Challenge 116

Hi Everybody, it’s time again for another challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More, Challenge #116 – Anything Goes.

Rick St. Dennis is back again as our sponsor with his funky images, pop over to his shop here to see which 3 you would pick, if you were the winner.

Here is my DT piece for you:

Life 1

I simply stamped the wood BG on River Rock card and then stamped my flower directly over it using the generational stamping technique (Hardwood and Flower Shop sets by Stampin’Up!, inks River Rock, Rose red and Elegant Eggplant, card stock River Rock all by Stampin’Up!). I then stamped my sentiment (Amazing Inspirations by Inspired By Stamping), layered on purple card (from stash) and added a sequin to finish.

Hope you enjoyed my piece of inspiration. Pop over to the Addicted to Stamps and More Blog to see the fab creations my teamies have come up with and, of course to join into the fun too.

Happy Crafting!!! 🙂

The Fairy and the Chocolate Monster

Hi Everybody,

thanks so much for your lovely comments, they were very much appreciated.

Today I have two projects to share with you. First up …

the Fairy …

Fairy tag

I made a tag for a change. It is one I had wanted to do for a while, ever since I started re-organizing or should I say re-chaosing my craft space. I wanted to make tags for my stamp boxes, and I made this beauty for the box containing my Lavinia stamps. All the stamps used for my little tag are by Lavinia Stamps, and I am entering it into their ‘add a ribbon‘ challenge over at their blog.

Next up is the Chocolate Monster …

chocolate monster

To make this card, i joined the digital revolution, the little monster is by Create A Smile Stamps and the sentiment …. well, I made it up myself whilst thinking about the Chocolate Challenge over at CASology  which of course I’m going to enter. I was looking up quotes about chocolate, when I came across one by George Lang and the idea for this card was born. The original quote was only half of my sentiment, the rest is born out of me reading too many Fairy tales when little … Rumpelstiltzchen kept on creeping in. That’s when this little monster came to mind, it looks a little as if it could be dancing around a fire singing this little song … what do you think?

I am also entering the challenge at Less is More where they want ‘mostly words’.

Hope you enjoyed today’s offering, back soon.

Happy crafting!!! 🙂

Sunday Playtime

Hi Everybody,

back again with a couple of more projects, and yes, hooray! I had more playtime today. Thanks again for your lovely comments, hope you’ll like today’s offering …

first up is a Monster Birthday …

Monster Birthday

… on a simply stamped BG combined with a digi sentiment and fuzzy cut digi monster, courtesy of  Create A Smile Stamps. The stamps used to stamp the BG are Mini Mixed Media Backgrounds and PATCHWORK FRENZY Graphic Squares  both by STAMPlorations, inks (Basic Grey and Tangerine Tango) and old olive card are by Stampin’Up!, white card and metal embellies are from my stash.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Cardz4Guyz– no patterned paper, think this would be a great boy’s birthday card

House of Cards – colour palette , hope that this is still ok despite me having used a touch of purple

Happy Little Stampers – Sketch , slightly changed it, but hope it’s still ok

My next card is one I made using the freebie stamps which had landed on my doormat yesterday, when the postman dropped the newest copy of Papercraft Essentials through the door. I thought it was perfect for the following challenges:

– Addicted to CAS – cuddly

Time out – double the joy, use two of something  – my card features two bears

Christmas Bears

I stamped and coloured my image using a mixture of Promarkers and Tinge Alcohol Markers, rounded some corners, layered on Real Red (Stampin’Up!) and then onto my base card, stamped my sentiment, cut it into a banner, attached it using foam dots and finished off by adding a red gem and twine.

They both have been very easy cards to make. Have fun making yours.

Enjoy and Happy Crafting!!! 🙂

These are the STAMPlorations stamp sets I used for the background in my first card:

Sketch 19 Challenge at STAMPlorations

Hi Everybody,

Hope you had a lovely weekend. The Summer seems to have re-appeared in the UK again over the weekend, which was very nice. Thanks Shery for sending some sunshine over from California!

It’s time for another sketch challenge at STAMPlorations, what a good way to start the week!!!

Sketch #19 will run until 12th September and the winner will be announced on 14th September.

Carol from Just Me C is back as our guest designer and a wonderful creation of course!

Ax you can see there is lots of scope with this sketch, and here is my take on it …

Christmas Block 1

I simply stamped the snowflakes form the VIGNETTE Christmas Block set in pink down one side of my base card. I then stamped my sentiment in brown on a separate piece of white card and partially cut around it before adding some faux stitching and stamping the bell border in green. I then added a strip of brown card, layered using foam tape and finished off by adding some glossy accents and sequin.

Below is another card I made in the same style using a slightly different colour scheme. You can find a full list of materials and measurements here.

Christmas Block 1a

VIGNETTE Christmas Block is part of the September Stamps Release Bundle which you can purchase at a reduced rate until 5th September. We will also invite you again to hop with us from 10th September … so get ready for lots of festive inspiration!!!

Pop over to the STAMPlorations challenge blog for more inspiration, my teamies have made some fab projects, information and details about September’s prize bundle, as always there will be a winner drawn at random from everyone who entered all of our challenges during the month of September.
